If you enjoy DUBTurbo, one of the hottest music production suites on the market, you will definitely want to check into DUBTurbo VST. DUB Turbo VST lets you augment the capabilities of DUBTurbo and take greater control over your creative process. With DUBTurbo alone, you can do some pretty amazing things, but with VST you can take your creativity to whole new heights.
Note: DUBTurbo VST has JUST been launched!
VST stands for Virtual Studio Technology. Once DUBTurbo is adapted to include VST capabilities, it will be more powerful than ever. You may find some VST freeware currently in existence, but its quality won’t impress you if you’re already familiar with DUBTurbo. VST freeware isn’t usually that great, but real, genuine VST technology (that you pay for) can greatly expand the capabilities of DUBTurbo. Packaged with DUBTurbo, of course, the price for VST is very reasonable, and the quality you get will far exceed freeware VST programs. This is a must-have for any serious music producer or songwriter.
VST expands DUB Turbo with additional audio editing and synthesizing tools.
You’ll start out looking at the DUBTurbo Main VSTi. This is the main interface, and you’ll find thousands of pre-loaded samples which are perfect for any genre. You get eight octaves to work with along with reverb and LFO settings. This interface gives you far more control over your work than the original DUBTurbo interface. Along with those thousands of sounds, you can always record and load in your own sound samples, so the possibilities are unlimited.
You’ll then be introduced to the DUBTurbo Norbox, SOS Pre-amps, the WubWub and the VST Samploid. These three tools provide you with even more exciting capabilities to enhance your sounds and build hip beats. Let’s start with the Norbox. This is where you’ll be spending a lot of your time on DUBTurbo VST. The DUBTurbo Norbox allows you to fine tune your output mastering and provides you with a pan tool which is much more comprehensive than the pan tool which comes with the original DUBTurbo.
DUB Turbo Norbox
You are given a visual interface in the Norbox which you can use to easily pan sounds to the left or right. Being able to see a visual display of what you’re doing gives you a new way to look at your sounds (literally). You can pan your sounds as much or little as you like to get just the right effect—and it’ll be easy to understand what you’re doing. Being able to pan sound adds depth and dimension to your music and gives your music more presence. Using the Norbox you can also harmonize vocals. This is a great place to pull everything together. It’s not just the elements you use to build your tracks but also how you polish up those elements and bring them all together which defines the quality of your sound. The Norbox lets you put the finishing touches on your sound.
VST WubWub Synth
The VST WubWub Synth lets you make some sick baseline wubwub sounds! Using the WubWub you can mimic pretty much any instrument for some truly unique sounds.
With the SOS Pre-amp, you can plug in your microphone or start playing any audio track and pre-amp the sound like you would with a hardware preamplifier. While it can’t quite replace a real preamplifier, as a virtual equivalent it still does a pretty sweet job cleaning up noise and interference and boosting signal strength without clipping the sound. So if you can’t afford a hardware preamplifier, don’t fret. You can get just what you need through the new VST interface. This feature is great for vocalists who want to record fresh, clean, clear vocals without interference or static. While a good mic goes a long way, a pre-amp tool like this one can get you the rest of the way. If the sounds you want to clean up are already recorded, then you can still pre-amplify them using this tool, which is a great capability!
The VST Samploid lets you load in a folder full of wave files. Using the menu, you can then select any wave file you want to edit. There are a number of different effects dials which you can use to modify the sound. This is one of the ways that DUBTurbo allows you to create new sounds and instruments. While the program already comes with thousands of high quality sounds which you can modify to your heart’s content, the Samploid lets you use any sound sample on your computer. The only limits are your imagination. Your tracks can be entirely unique and really redefine your genre with new sounds. The Samploid controls include a 7 octave keyboard, 30 band EQ, A.D.S.R. rack, sample looper and sample reverse, keyspanning sampler, pitch bend, full filter panel, and more.
