Quality Sound via WAV and not Compressed MP3
It doesn’t compress the hell out of your tracks into MP3’s. The samples and tracks are imported and exported as 16-bit WAV files at 44.1 KHz. This is HUGE. Why? Well, MP3 is a compressed file, so if your samples are compressed before you even mix them into a usable beat/track, and then compress them again when you export, they will sound like they were recorded at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. There is only one place left for that type of beat, the garbage can, and that is where many of the same-price-level DAW’s will be cranking out tracks for you. WAV is high-quality, so right out of the gate you are in good shape.
Beginner Friendly, and Simple to Use for Professionals Too
IT’S EASY TO USE, AND VERY USER FRIENDLY. By far, this is the strongest advantage that DubTurbo has over any other DAW software program. Don’t believe me? Fine, try a little experiment yourself: Go buy Reaper, FL Studio, Acid, MuLab, GarageBand, Majix, or Ableton. Then get DubTurbo. Now, open up each program (except DubTurbo) one by one, and start timing yourself. Next, create, record, and export a beat of at least 2 minutes. Then do the same with DubTurbo. The difference is PROFOUND, within seconds of opening DubTurbo; you are making beats and recording a track. Take a program like FL Studio. Great program, but it takes forever to get plugins, setup your devices, buy or download samples and sounds to use, load them in, then you can start making beats. That is, if you can figure out the alien spacecraft HUD that they use. Unless you are Will Smith from Independence Day, it’ll be taking you a while to figure out how to fly the FL studio ship, believe me. DubTurbo is not like that, it has a clean, uncluttered display interface, and it is remarkably easy to use. If you are a total beginner, and have never made beats before, STOP NOW, GO BUY DUBTURBO. You can’t go wrong, because anything else has a much steeper learning curve.
Incredibly Well-Executed Instructional Video Tutorials
Like I said before, I have purchased many DAW software programs, and also a lot of software in general, and the one thing lacking in all of them is quality instruction. Reading a manual is about as exciting as watching water evaporate, and the chances of the average user (who does want to know how to use the program even) reading a manual are slim to none. This is the digital age, we want video! We want someone to show us AND tell us how to use the program. That is what the owners of DubTurbo have done here, they show you every nook and cranny of the software, what it can do, and how you can use it to make your own studio-quality beats in a short period of time. The tutorial videos are crisp; you can understand what the narrator is saying, which is a new thing for videos. They are also of HD video quality, which is great if you want to burn them to DVD.
Great at Translating What is In Your Head to a Usable Beat
I don’t fully understand why this is yet, but when I use other programs like Reaper and FL Studio, and I have a beat playing in my head that I either heard somewhere else or made up myself, I can never translate that beat into the software. It never sounds the same or quite right. When I purchased expensive MIDI equipment to go with my PC, I was finally able to really put down some tracks that sounded just like they did in my head. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I could do the same when I opened up DubTurbo online beat maker. I think it has a lot to do with DubTurbo’s ease-of-use more than anything else. The more complicated the whole process of making the beat actually is, the more off the sound is going to be from where you want it.
Don’t Be Thrown Off By Some Wannabe Digital Music Producers
If you go into the forums and ask 40 people what their favorite DAW is, you are going to get 40 different answers, and each one swears by the one they are using. Huh? Think about it. They are naturally going to recommend the one program they made their best music on, right? I hate to break it to these people though, but the software is not a substitute for creativity. The software is there for one purpose: to enable you to make quality music. However, the composition of that music has to come from within you, not the music. I can kind of understand why they may feel that way, but don’t let their opinions prevent you from buying something that can help you make the beats you want in the shortest time possible.

To make good sounds, you need good virtual sound tools with your DAW, and DubTurbo delivers quality ones. These include a drum kit, keyboard, wave editor, and also a solid 16 track sequencer, which I find is the most useful in creating beats, at least it is for me, you might make your beats using a different process, and that is fine when you’re using DubTurbo. Another tool feature I like is the ability to map out an extensive number of keyboard shortcuts; this makes the whole creation process and workflow smoother. It isn’t long before you’re able to do nearly anything via the keyboard. The drum kit comes with a sleek panel that is also controlled via keyboard shortcuts if you want; it uses the number panel for this. The keyboard (the virtual one I mean) is 4 octaves, and two of them are controlled via your computer keyboard shortcuts. The many included samples will supply you with enough variety to make almost anything. The good part about the virtual keyboard is that you don’t need a MIDI controller to make your sounds.
